Meet Jason Taylor, Business Development Representative

Jason Taylor, a dedicated team member at CarbonBetter, balances his work with his musical pursuits.
Meet Jason, a key figure on the climate services team at CarbonBetter. His work revolves around helping businesses take action to meet their sustainability goals and targets, and a lot of his time is spent helping to educate businesses early on in their journey. He appreciates the sense of unity within his team and the opportunity he gets to make a real difference in the environment through his work. Jason was raised in Goliad, Texas, and now lives just outside of Austin with his wife and kids. When he’s not at work, Jason enjoys making and performing music, coaching football, and dreams of starting a BBQ and soul food business in the future. Let’s get to know more about Jason!

Jason, what do you love about working at CarbonBetter?
I work with great people, I do something I enjoy, and I help out the environment.
What does your day-to-day look like at CarbonBetter?
The first part of my day goes to customer retention duties, and the latter part is spent trying to help companies start or further their sustainability journey.

Do you have any personal or professional goals that you’d like to share?
One of my goals is to start a catering company or a food truck that sells BBQ and soul food.

Be the best You at all times.

I’m happily married with four kids.

Do you have any personal sustainability habits that are important to you?
I recycle, so that is my small contribution to helping the environment.
Where did you grow up? What’s something interesting about your hometown?
I grew up in Goliad, Texas, which only has 1,684 residents and is known for the Goliad massacre, which happened during the Texas Revolution.
What is something that people are usually surprised to learn about you?
People are usually surprised to learn that I listen to country music.
What are some of your hobbies?
Some of my hobbies are making music, performing my music, and coaching football.
What are some things on your bucket list?
Two things for sure: I want to go to Jamaica, and I want to go to a Redskins game at FedEx Field.
