Senior Climate Analyst
Faith is a Senior Climate Analyst for CarbonBetter, with over seven years of energy-water nexus policy and research experience.
Prior to joining CarbonBetter, Faith worked for TCEQ, where she helped the agency receive oil and gas wastewater permitting authority from the EPA and for ClearPath, a think-tank focused on decarbonizing the electric power sector in Washington, DC.
Faith managed ClearPath’s energy storage and renewable energy portfolios, including collaboration on and off the Hill and across political spectrums. Her policy expertise includes federal energy and environmental legislative drafting, briefings and white paper curation. Additionally, she also worked for an energy and water software startup in Austin, and with Rio Tinto Kennecott Utah Copper’s energy program before embarking on graduate school.
Faith has experience in energy and environmental project management, research development, and consulting. She has an extensive background in energy technologies, policy, as well as state and federal regulatory experience. Her graduate study at UT-Austin centered on the energy-water nexus as it relates to fossil fuels, water management, international energy, and environmental policy. Her Dual Masters thesis focused on a net water assessment for coal mining in West Virginia, the impacts on surrounding aquifers, potential policy implications, and future use of water.
She holds a MS in Energy and Earth Resources (Jackson School of Geosciences), a MGPS in Energy, Environment & Technology Policy from UT-Austin (LBJ School of Public Affairs), and a BS in Environmental Science from Westminster College.
Faith is originally from Utah, and loves to spend her free time with her husband, their infant son, and two Shelties exploring national parks.
