Sathya Narayanan on what he likes about working at CarbonBetter
Do you have any personal sustainability habits that are important to you?

I prefer using sustainable ways to commute. I like to cycle, and staying in Tempe, AZ, allows me to use public transportation and mount my bike on buses and metros to commute long distances.

Where did you grow up? What's something interesting about your hometown?

I grew up in Chennai, the capital of the southernmost state in India. This place is known for its beach, which is one of the longest urban beaches in India.

Tell us about your family:

My family lives in India, and I don't get to meet them often. Despite the distance, they are the most comfortable, caring, and fun group.

What is something that people are usually surprised to learn about you?

I'm really interested in movie screenplays and editing. I used to edit short films as an undergrad. I've written a script for a short film that I'll shoot whenever I get a chance.

What are some of your hobbies?

I enjoy cycling, camping and playing badminton.

What's something you've learned recently, or something you want to learn?

I would love to learn Spanish and French.

Thanks for sharing, Sathya! We are so lucky to work alongside you every day. Stay tuned for the next team feature in our Life @ CarbonBetter series.
