Business Development Analyst

Laura is a Business Development Analyst on CarbonBetter’s Climate Services team, where she helps clients navigate their sustainability journeys—conducting climate risk assessments, supporting ESG strategy development and evaluation, and helping companies define and implement their decarbonization strategies. She also works with project developers in the early stages of carbon project development, offering guidance on structuring and positioning projects in the market, while facilitating carbon credit transactions and identifying high-quality offsets to help companies achieve their climate goals and bridge the gap between ambition and market action.

Before joining CarbonBetter, Laura worked at South Pole, where she specialized in carbon credit procurement and assessing project quality. In that role, she sourced and managed carbon credits from across Latin America, supported project developers in positioning their projects for market success, and ensured each one met rigorous quality standards while contributing to climate mitigation and sustainable development goals.

Laura holds a BEng in Environmental Engineering from EIA University in Colombia and a technical degree in Biotechnology from UCO University.
