Tori Chen, Climate Analyst
Tori, what do you love about working at CarbonBetter?

I work with a great team on projects with meaningful impacts. Sustainability is an ever-evolving topic, which keeps things interesting, and I feel like I’m constantly getting to learn new things.

What does your day-to-day look like at CarbonBetter?

My day-to-day varies, but typical tasks include conducting research, environmental accounting, client meetings, and report writing.

Where did you grow up? What's something interesting about your hometown?

I grew up in San Jose, CA, home of the world's largest rat (a 30 ft tall Chuck E. Cheese statue). It also has one of the highest waste diversion rates in the country.

Tell us about your family:

My partner Kelby and I currently live in Boston, MA, and we're thinking about adopting a cat (or two) in the near future.

What are some of your hobbies?

Some things I enjoy are hiking, traveling, and playing water polo.

What's something you've learned recently, or something you want to learn?

I'm currently working on getting my PADI scuba diving certification!

Thanks for sharing, Tori! We are so lucky to work alongside you every day. Stay tuned for the next team feature in our Life @ CarbonBetter series.
